Eric isn't in the Teams Store yet, so you add his app to Teams yourself. It takes about five minutes. The instructions page is public, so you can forward it to your Teams admin: meeteric.ai/teams/add.
1. Download the app
On the Teams page, click Download Eric for Teams.
2. Upload it in Teams
- In Teams, open Apps, then Manage your apps.
- Click Upload an app, then Upload a custom app, and choose the file.
- Click Add. To use Eric in a channel, choose Add to a team instead.
No "Upload a custom app" option?
Your organisation lets only admins add apps. Send the file to your Teams admin. They go to the Teams admin center → Teams apps → Manage apps → Upload new app. Eric then appears in Teams under Apps → Built for your org.
3. Connect your account
- Eric sends a welcome message. Click Connect my account (in a channel: Connect this channel).
- Sign in to Eric if asked.
- If you have more than one business, choose it under Which business is this for?
- Click Connect. You can close the tab and go back to Teams.
The connect link works once and expires in 24 hours. If your personal chat is already connected, a new channel offers a one-tap Connect to … button.
4. Ask Eric something
Say what needs me, findings, results or help, or ask about your website in your own words. In a channel, Eric only reads messages that mention him, so start with @Eric.
Confirm it's you
Before Eric acts on a button in Teams, he may ask you to confirm it's you with a one-time link that expires in 15 minutes. He carries on as soon as you have.
Disconnect Eric from Teams
In Eric, open Connections → Connect your communication channel, click Disconnect next to Teams and confirm. To remove the app from Teams too, uninstall it in Teams.
