The morning note
What Eric sends each morning, when it arrives, and how to control it.
Reference · Last updated 27 October 2026
Every morning Eric checks your website and writes to you in every channel you've connected: Slack, Teams and WhatsApp.
When it arrives
Eric checks your website at 08:00 in your business's time zone every day, and the note arrives a few minutes after. Set the time zone in Morning note and time zone. Until you set one, Eric uses UK time.
Eric sends one morning note a day at most. If you change the time zone, the next note may come a day later, never twice.
What it contains
- A line such as "yourwebsite.com — 2 things worth your attention.", and how many visits it is based on.
- Up to three findings, each with a short summary, and how many more are on your dashboard. Press Look into this, or reply
investigate, and Eric digs into the first one. - What changed on your site: changes Eric noticed on your own pages, such as a new headline, price or page.
Early on, Eric says so plainly: "nothing has arrived yet" if the tracking code hasn't reported, or "I'm watching, but I won't guess yet" while there's too little data.
Quiet mornings
On a weekday with nothing new, Eric sends one line instead, for example "nothing new this morning", with yesterday's visits. He sends nothing at weekends (your weekend, in your time zone) when there's nothing new. You can turn the quiet-morning line off; see Morning note and time zone.
On WhatsApp
If your 24-hour WhatsApp window has closed, Eric sends a short daily statement instead: yesterday's visits, enquiries and sales from your own tracking code. Reply to him to get the full note.
Several websites
A business with several websites gets one morning note covering them all. You can give one website its own morning report; that uses credits each morning it is sent, and nothing on a morning with nothing to say. Set it in Your websites; see Businesses and websites.
