Where Eric talks to you
Choose Slack, Microsoft Teams or WhatsApp, and what happens when you reply to Eric there.
Explanation · Last updated 27 October 2026
Eric sends what he finds to the place you already work, and you can ask him questions in the same chat. You can connect Slack, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, or more than one.
| Channel | Best for |
|---|---|
| Slack | Working with your team. Eric posts in a channel. |
| Microsoft Teams | Teams that work in Teams. A personal chat or a channel. |
| Founders who want updates directly on their phone. |
Connect a channel
- During setup, on Where should Eric talk to you?
- Later: open Connections from the menu and click Connect your communication channel.
To move or disconnect a channel, open Connections, click Connect your communication channel, and use Change channel (Slack) or Disconnect, then confirm.
Eric acts only for people on your business
Anyone in the chat can read what Eric posts. When someone presses a button that changes something, Eric first checks that they are on your business in Eric, with Can change things or as the owner. If he can't tell who they are, he asks them to confirm it's them with a private link before he carries on.
People who Can only look can ask questions but can't approve changes. See Invite people and choose what they can do.
Quiet hours
Eric's own unprompted notes don't arrive between 22:00 and 07:00 in your time zone. Urgent alerts, and results you asked for, can. Set your time zone in Morning note and time zone.
