Your account, handing over and deleting

Change your details, leave or hand over a business, delete a business, or delete your account.

How-to guide · Last updated 27 October 2026

On this page

Click your email at the top right, then Your account.

Your details

Change Your name and Company, then click Save details. Your Sign-in email can't be changed. Your Slack and WhatsApp connections aren't affected by anything on this page.

Leave a business

Under Your businesses, click Leave next to a business you don't own. You lose access straight away. An owner can't leave; hand the business over first.

Hand a business over

  1. Invite the new owner on People first, if they aren't there yet.
  2. On Your account, under Hand … over, choose the new owner.
  3. Type TRANSFER and click Hand over.

The new owner takes over credits, Autopilot and people. You stay on with Can change things. You can't undo this yourself.

Delete a business

  1. Under Your businesses, click Delete… next to a business you own.
  2. Type DELETE and click Delete ….

Deleting retires the business: its channels stop, its tracking stops being accepted, and its website address is free for another business. Its history stays with us. Nothing else of yours is touched.

  • If other people are on the business, hand it over to one of them or remove them first.
  • You can't delete your only business this way. Remove its website to start again, or delete your account.

Delete your account

  1. On Your account, go to Delete your account.
  2. Type DELETE and click Delete my account.

This happens straight away. Every business only you are on is retired, your Slack and Teams links are removed, and you are signed out. A business other people are on has to be handed over first.

Important: Deleting your account doesn't erase your data: the history of a retired business is kept. To have your data erased, ask us. See Data retention and deletion.
Important: Paid credits left on a business are forfeited when you delete it or your account. Before you confirm, Eric shows how many paid credits are still there, with Ask for a refund. Ask first if you're due one. See Refunds.
