This walks you through your first session with Eric, from typing your website to Eric starting work. You need your website address and about ten minutes. Adding the tracking code may need someone who can edit your website.
1. Give Eric your website
- Go to meeteric.ai/start.
- Type your website address, for example
yourbusiness.com. - Click See what Eric finds. It is free to start, and you don't need a card.
Eric opens your site and reads it. You see Eric is on it with what he is doing, such as "Listing your pages" and "Checking your buttons and links". This usually takes a minute or two.
2. Check your customer journey
Eric shows Here's your customer journey: where your homepage sends a first-time visitor next. Click Save my journey.
3. Create your account
- Click Continue with Google, or type your email and a password of at least 8 characters and click Create account and save.
- If you used email, open the confirmation link Eric sends you. It works in any browser, including the one inside your mail app.
- Back in Eric, you see Saved. Your email is confirmed. Click Continue here if asked.
Everything Eric found so far is kept in your account. Already have an account? Click Already have an account? Sign in.
4. Read your first findings
Eric shows Eric found your first opportunities, a short audit of your site. Read it, then click Continue.
5. Connect what Eric should learn from
This step is optional and read-only. Each card (Your website, Revenue, Ads, CRM, Analytics, Calendar) has a Connect button.
- Start with Your website: click Connect, then Put my tag on. Eric shows the quickest way to add his tracking code to your site. See Add the tracking code.
- Connect any tools you use. See How connecting tools works.
When you're done, click Next: where Eric talks to you. You can also click Do this later and come back from Connections in the menu.
6. Choose where Eric talks to you
On Where should Eric talk to you?, pick the place you already work: Add Eric to Slack, Add Eric to Microsoft Teams, or WhatsApp. See Talking to Eric.
7. Let Eric work
You see Eric is working. You don't have to wait. Click Go to Today. Eric tells you when he finds something worth your attention.
If you stop part-way
Sign in again and Eric takes you back to the step you were on. For the first 14 days, opening Today brings you back to an unfinished setup step.
