Google Analytics

Connect Google Analytics so Eric checks his numbers against Google's every day.

How-to guide · Last updated 27 October 2026

On this page

Eric reads reports from one Google Analytics property, so he can compare his numbers with Google's and spot pages where his tracking code is missing. He does not change your Analytics settings.

Before you start

Sign in with the Google account that can see your website's Google Analytics property.

Connect Google Analytics

  1. Sign in to Eric. You need to be the owner of the business, or someone who Can change things.
  2. Open Connections from the menu on the left.
  3. Click the Connect your analytics row, then the Connect your analytics button inside it.
  4. Pick Google Analytics from the list.
  5. Your browser goes to a secure connection page and then to Google Analytics's own sign-in. Sign in and approve read access.
  6. You come back to Connections. Eric tells you what he can now read, or asks you one question to finish.

If one property matches your website, Eric picks it and says "Reading … I'll compare it with my own numbers every day." Otherwise a box asks Which property is this site? Pick the one that measures your website.

To pick a different property later, open Connect your analytics on Connections and click Change next to Google Analytics.

No properties listed

If you see "This Google login can't see any Google Analytics properties", you signed in with a Google account that has no access. Click Use a different login, confirm, and sign in with the Google account that owns your site's analytics.

Disconnect or reconnect Google Analytics

  1. Open Connections from the menu on the left (under Setup).
  2. Click the Connect your analytics row to open it. Google Analytics is listed with its status.
  3. Click Disconnect next to Google Analytics. Eric says what will happen; click Disconnect again to confirm, or Keep it.
  4. To connect again, click Add another (or Connect your analytics if nothing else is connected there) and pick Google Analytics.
Important: Disconnecting Google Analytics stops Eric reading it and deletes what he had already read from it. Connecting again reads the history again from the start.
